About PeopleFirstCities

PeopleFirstCities is an initiative by Purpose to help drive more inclusive, participatory approaches to urban planning and management. Our cities were never designed for the growth and expansion they are seeing today. In the process, many in the city are being pushed to the margins of our megacities - in terms of their needs, their access to services, their hopes and dreams. In addition, more and more data is highlighting the disproportionate, compounded impact of climate change on certain communities and areas of the city. We believe that by amplifying the voices of communities and fostering inclusive dialogue, we can influence urban policies and create a better quality of life for millions.
